| At SAEL we are endeavoring to develop and inculcate values that will help the students to grow up into responsible and affectionate adults. Counselling provides students to reflect upon their anxieties in a constructive manner. It helps the individuals to explore their problem and look at it from a different perspective. It helps to analyse thoughts and feelings which lead them to find a solution to their problem and take responsibility to carry them out. |

| Referrals to the counsellors can come through various sources e.g. Teachers, Parents or Self referrals. There is a marked upward trend in the last form of referrals. SAEL is increasingly dealing with individuals as there is no other counselling platform available in Lahore. |

| SAEL's Counselling Seminars & Fares |
| SAEL in collaboration with STEP Institute of Professional Development has been arranging seminars and career camps, during which speakers from wide spectrum of professions share their experiences with the students. These forums help students and young adults to share their apprehensions about entering an education or a career path. |

| These education and career fares are aimed to develop close liaison between educational institutes & educationists, local & multinational companies and young adults. |

| Awareness seminars are somehow a new concept for Pakistani education and industrial sector but it's an essential step to develop and deliver career oriented education and to minimise the rate of unemployed graduates in Pakistan. |

| Guidance officer provides information and guidance on career, subject and course selection. He/ She help and assist the student in goal setting, study and time management skills. One of the major functions of Guidance officer is to liaise with concerned authorities for students support so to identify guidance needs of every individual student. |
