Society of Pakistan English Language Teachers (SPELT) is a registered, non-political, non-government voluntary body of English language teachers from school, colleges and universities.

SPELT was formed in 1984 and since it has been arranging academic sessions, professional development activities, and teacher's research programs. In October 2004, SPELT organised 20th International Conference; where professors, teachers, trainers, researchers, student teachers and educationists from all over the world participated to share and learn from each others' experiences.

The SAEL Movement joined SPELT to offer its services in one of the workshop sessions for primary and secondary teachers. Session lasted for one hour twenty minutes and was aimed at discussing “the role of ‘error analysis' in literacy lessons at primary and elementary level”.

Participants discussed, brainstormed and participated in activities about the “dimensions of assessments to help learners help themselves”. Participants came up with the development plan, applicable for learners of all capabilities, to reflect and analyse their mistakes, slips and errors. A small effort on teacher's part to help make big difference in student's life!
